CAT to bring Google Station-CAT WiFi service to accommodate spectators and racers of “ThaiGP PTT Thailand Grandprix 2018” at Chang International Circuit from October 5th - 7th.

        Dr. Dhanant Subhadrabandhu, the Senior Executive Vice President (Business and service) of CAT Telecom Public Company Limited, has revealed that “CAT will bring the Google Station-CAT WiFi services to the Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province, which is Thailand’s international FIA Grade 1 racing track capable of hosting Formula 1 races.” He said that it is the company’s goal to provide the service, which is a joint cooperation between Google and CAT, to accommodate MotoGP 2018 racing teams and visitors from around the globe. The company estimates that about 100,000 race enthusiasts would attend the event. Dr. Dhanant stated that major racing competition exhibits Thailand’s capability in hosting a world-class event that deserves an equally grand internet service.

       In order to facilitate the MotoGP 2018, the CAT has installed more than fifty internet Google Station-CAT WiFi hotspots at the racing venue for spectators and racing staffers to enjoy highspeed internet.

        Thailand is the second country in Southeast Asia and the fourth country in the world after India, Indonesia and Mexico to collaborate with Google to provide such high-speed internet services. CAT has already implemented the Google Station-CAT WiFi services in 11 locations, which are the Bangkok railway station Hua Lamphong , Mega Bangna shopping center, the Marvel Experience in Bang Na district of the capital, SF Cinema in Central World shopping complex, SF Cinema in Central Grand Rama Nine, the Paseo Park on Kanchanaphisek Road, the Paseo Town in Ramkhamheang, the Seasons Mall in Phaya Thai District, Venice di Iris shopping plaza, Wang Krot train station community in Phichit Province, the Walking Street in Chiang Khan District of Loei Province. The company indicated that it has a plan to expand the services to the rest of the Kingdom.
